It's like being shocked that your local GP is also married to a doctor. What a coincidence! No, people gravitate towards those who share the same interests, and sometimes that means you fall for someone in the same profession. Worse still, Kevin, you've forced me to defend Wan because your criticism is more ridiculous than one of his films. Thanks, buddy!

Loud noises horror? The atmosphere and tension in the trailer is wonderful. I'll give you the final bit with the clap and thunder being something of a "jump scare," but this is certainly shaping up to be the strongest mainstream horror effort of the year.

The whole true story stamp relates to Farmiga and Wilson playing real life paranormal investigators Lorraine and Ed Warren, with the narrative drawing from a case they conducted in 1973.

Once again, the Playlist proves it has no understanding of horror films period. This site has very little sense of humor to begin with, so why would they enjoy one of the more ridiculous, enjoyable (and profitable) genres around? FUCK THEM. PAY ME!

Insidious was a very well done, fine horror movie. If "only loud loises" is all you've seen, you shouldn't write about horror movies in the first place. You don't have to decorate every single article with "smart, hip, edgy" remarks. A simple link for the trailer would have been enough. Even though it may be hard to restrain yourself more often, you should at least try it once in a while.
