Big mistake on the bus scene – using a "Gibson" ticket machine which didn\’t come into use until 1953. It should have been a "Bell Punch" machine.

When I read about this film and its premise almost half ayear ago I was intrigued. I pictured something more reduced, melancholic, in the vein of Sofia Coppola or so. But this trailer looks pretty bland, predictable and safe. Disappointing; still waiting for Sarah Gadon to get a great leading role.

I Had the chance to see this at an advance screening and A Royal Night out is the result of what would happen when The King’s Speech and Ferris Bueller’s day off would meet on a night out and decide to hit it off. That premise might sound intriguing, the result was anything but. The performances are enjoyable and no doubt nit will make some people grin, I thought the result was rather lustreless and bland.
