But I keep thinking it would be so much better/more interesting/effective to adapt the comic series Gotham Central to TV. That series was about the cops who had to live in the shadow of Batman, cleaning up after him, trying to take on supervillains by themselves, the only honest unit in a massively corrupt police force, and filled with excellent characters beyond Gordon and Bullock. It could be great, but with this series already coming out, it'll never get made.
