Actually, Jim is right. It DOES look like Lord of the Rings stylistically (not in story). And Roland Rat, I agree — I also want to defend it because of my respect for Jones but it looks awful! The CGI looks pervasive (and used even when it is unwarranted) and incomplete (completely lacking texture and depth).

Jim, this couldn\’t possibly look any less like "The Lord of the Rings". Like, it\’s completely different in every single way. The only reason I can think of for why you would say something like that is because you just think that everything that\’s fantasy (that isn\’t "Harry Potter") looks like "Lord of the Rings".

I want to defend it, because I\’m a fan of Duncan Jones, but… I have to agree with Anonymous. I can\’t imagine ever wanting to watch this. Will the 7 million WoW subscribers be the ones buying tickets?
