He has since (Hurt Locker) gotten nominated for an Oscar and been part of three highly successful franchises that all have sequels coming out. As for Bourne not continuing with him in it, of course there will at least be a crossover with Damon. Whether we keep getting sequels with just Renner is irrelevant because no one watches (for ex.) James Bond to learn about 005, Who cares if there "never was just 1," we want the original.

As for this, yeah it'll probably suck. Lets see if he can draw the box-office. This movie, after-all, was supposed to be released almost a year ago.

Jeremy Renner is a working actor who has made good and bad films in the past and will, no doubt, continue to do so. What he has achieved this year is finding new fans, many of whom will follow him into the idependent film world. I have seen more independent films this year than I have in the last 10 years and my most anticipated films are now a James Gray and a David O'Russell – not a bad result when I only went to see the Avengers because it was raining.
