Agree with GPL. People complain about things they think " they could've done better". Please!! How bout you stop nitpicking life and enjoy it. Great films in this case. We Americans can be idiots sometimes

Wow, watching that screen test, I have to say, I think the way that Bale played it in the audition was a better performance than what showed up in ANY of the Nolan Batman films. Granted, I think he was one of the best cinematic Batmen to date, but especially in Rises, I thought Bale was way over the top.
When seeing the screen test, I have to say, I think it was better than even Begins, when he was at his best. It had a far stronger subdued intensity, and that "I'm Batman" line was much, much more striking here. Thanks for sharing this!

Nice! These are the kinds of DVD extra's I like to see. Funny that they used a Batsuit that they still had lying around.

Also, you guys catch a lot of flack for your articles (and frankly, most of it is deserved) but this is exactly the kind of article I like to read here. Short, simple and kind of sweet. Let me explain why it's sweet. You could easily have made some 'witty'/cynical comments about the batvoice, but you chose not to, instead you complimented Bale for his performances as Batman. Keep it up, it makes reading this site much more pleasant. (Not saying you have to love everything, but you guys tend to mock pretty much everything.)
