Not an instance where they\’d be playing sidecar to a male or some underling/hired hand but an actual villain. I was really interested to see how the talks of having the head of Quantum potentially be a female would\’ve turned out until Mendes came on board and SkyFall happened. Now I\’m beginning to wonder if there\’s no one capable of writing a screenplay to accommodate a female in such a central role for these films that isn\’t a sidekick or "Bond girl". Or, potentially, there\’s a vocal opposition to anyone bringing the idea to fruition because it would depart too far from what\’s expected of the character and films overall.
