Watch: Bob Balaban Gives A Tour Of New Penzance In Clip From Wes Anderson’s ‘Moonrise Kingdom’

nullThere is something about being back in the distinct world of a filmmaker that can be both comforting and exciting. And while Wes Anderson's "Moonrise Kingdom" marks his first period picture and first live action movie since 2007's "The Darjeeling Limited" everything we've seen thus points to the tone and aesthetic we've always admired from the filmmaker.

Vulture has the latest clip from the film where the narrator, played by Bob Balaban, gives the audience a tour of New Penzance, the New England island where the story takes place. Wearing an outfit that wouldn't be out of place from "The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou" it's a charming scene with all the sly humor and attention to detail that make Anderson's movies so engaging. And at the end, he warns of a storm that will be coming in a few days and we presume it's the same one will lead to our male lead Jared Gilman being struck by lightning as briefly discussed in the previously released clip.

But so far, we're really liking what we're seeing. "Moonrise Kingdom" plays In Competition at the Cannes Film Festival where it will open the fest, before arriving in theaters on May 25th.
