fucking lame trailer. the found footage material at time looks too cinematic. These guys manipulated the circumstances well with catfish but I\’m not convinced they are skilled filmic storytellers. FLOP

I am glad to see these guys\’ careers extending past an \’it\’ movie at Sundance. Can\’t wait to see what they bring to the franchise, though it already looks fairly original. I love that they are challenging themselves by doing a prequel set in the 80\’s rather than a film with advanced technology. It sets up more barriers story wise.

I also like that the series is going completely backwards on the timeline as opposed to forward. Interesting stuff.
