It's a trailer for Les Miserables, the movie adaptation of one of the greatest musicals ever. No seriously, ever. Not only that, but tix are resonably priced at Ticketpolice.com . the casting is damn near friggin perfect!! As a fan of the broadway musical, I really like what I saw in the Les Mis .

I'm really looking forward to this, but a few opinions on the trailer: Anne Hathaway doesn't really hit the notes as well as whoever sings it on the Broadway cast recordings I have–I sure hope Russell Crowe can sing, or else they get someone to dub him. Fantine is only a main character for the first 1/4 of the story, then she dies, so kind of weird that there's so much footage of her. And I'm not really a big fan of Tom Hooper, but a handsomely mounted dramatic version of this musical is all I really want–there's no real need for an unusual auteurist re-envisioning–so I have confidence he can pull it off.

This looks standard and rote… typical Hooper. At least people like Chris Nolan and Baz Lurhmann are willing to think outside of the box and for that reason, Oscar doesn't like them (as much)!
