The only Jane Austen novel worthy of the contemporary adoration is PERSUASION, because of its quiet melancholy, and one that gets lost under those cutely alliterated titles like PRIDE AND PREJUDICE and SENSE AND SENSIBILITY. Ladies, if a guy is aloof towards you, it means he's just not that into you. Move along and move on.
