That\’s not me crowing about how clever I am, because I\’m not clever. That\’s me complaining about WHY it\’s the slow, dull movie that its other detractors claim it to be. It stretches a minimum amount of incident to an uncomfortable length, and because its tone is so suffocatingly self-important the whole thing becomes interminable. "I\’m going to make an entire movie about the first act" is everything that\’s wrong with \’Unbreakable\’ in a nutshell.
