With all due respect to George Lois I have often felt that the Don Draper character might have been in part inspired by my own father Joe Sacco who actually headed up PKL London in the early 60\'s. he also had a long restraint-marital relationship with the writer of two very successful And long running TV series. I know that at one time the Madmen seriea boasted as many as 7 women writers. I suspect they might have honed their craft in the writing rooms of said lady. Some of the events in the Madmen series are two close to my father\'s own life to be coincidence. Heck out " The Plane Story" for the look of the man and see if you don\'t experience " deja vu".

He was never an art director.
