The eleven minute video features re-recording mixer Chris Jenkins, re-recording mixer Frank A. Montano, supervising sound editor and designer Eric Norris, supervising sound editor and designer Scott Hecker, and dialog supervisor Kira Roessler discussing the work that went into creating the various sounds and noises heard in “Man of Steel.” From dragging a concrete slab across rubble to ball bearings dancing on a xylophone, this video shows how anything and everything can be utilized to achieve the desired effect.
The video even reveals how the sound designers were able to sneak in an audio easter egg to pay homage to the 1950s Superman TV series. Makes us wonder how many other seemingly miniscule easter eggs have gone unnoticed over the years… Anyway, check it out below.
