Well, it seems that being a male and white just rest points to your talent according to so many people commenting. Mind you they surely didn\’t made the choice themselves to be the ones on this conversation but were invited, maybe because apart from racist and sexual envy, they are quite geniuses in what they do.
Maybe you can come up with your lists of directors who should have been invited instead and possibly give a hint to The Playlist about who youwould be interested in listening to.

Who cares what a bunch of old white guys think? Plus only one of them is getting nominated so it\’s extra embarrassing for THR. And yes, I\’ve seen Russell do this 4 times in the last 5 years and Hooper at least 3.

Why do I feel I\’m always watching the same dudes at these roundtables? I think Tarantino, O. Russell, and Tom Hooper were all there for the one that year when Django, Silver Linings, and Les Mis were competing. And who keeps inviting Tom Hooper to these things? Not that he\’s bad, just incredibly boring to listen to.
