\”J. Edgar\” could be the perfect opening night film for the AFI Fest (on Nov. 3rd, less than a week before it\’s theatrical premiere). It would appear on one of the best screens in the world (Grauman\’s Chinese) and could also double as the Hollywood premiere. Remember — AFI\’s opener last year was \”The King\’s Speech\” (and the closer was \”The Black Swan\”). Not shabby, and it would be shown out of competition.
