NOBODY– and I mean NOBODY (except of course the filmic genuises at Playlist)– felt that cast was a "right fit". In fact, that movie is the clinical definition of "miscast."

For years I've wanted to do a Scooby-Doo reboot and I'm pretty bummed out that they beat me to it. There's a version of this movie that could be amazing, but I doubt they will do that.

Believe it or not, there's a LOT of kids that are still into scooby-doo, including my daughter big-time. Now, she's 11 years old and its starting to fade, so I'm not sure a new live-action movie will interest her much, but I bet it can still be successful with the right tone. I actually thought the two were pretty well done.
