So I\’ll blame Keach / The DP for this since the DP was from Waiting / Waitress and Keech\’s artistic vision from Blind Dating has been puke-able. The colorist must have crapped his pants when he got the dailies back.

For whatever reason the DP/ Keach threw too much light everywhere with the aperature fully open (ie full aperature = largest amounts of light to come into the camera\’s digital sensor). Basically it\’s unmotivated lighting that they hope to color correct into motivated.

It\’s sad that this guy got his name on Walk The Line but also happy that he wasn\’t allowed to direct it. Yes, it\’s wrong to be Scrooge… but when you work for a site that promotes great visionary directors you feel like Bob Cratchet when you see Scrooge pump his money into bad scripts with shitty directors.
