I am so so confused by this sentence: "We might not unreservedly love the film, as has been our experience with previous Dolan films (confirmed fans may well have a better time with it). But it's certainly his best film…"

If you loved others more, aren't they his best? And if you've loved his previous films without reservations, aren't you a confirmed fan? Seriously confused.

PS. I liked all three previous films, though I think they are immensely flawed. He knows exactly where to place a camera, but the plots and characters are paper-thin.

I am a fan of Dolan's three previous films, especially Heartbeats, and am REALLY looking forward to seeing his Tom at the Farm. It sounds truly interesting, and I just love a great psychological thriller/love story. Plus, Dolan is back as the protagonist, so that's another bonus. I just really like his screen presence, he's a terrific actor. Hopefully this film will get a far wider distribution than his previous ones. Keep up the good work Mr Dolan!!!!

I'm not a big fan of his first two but respected the intentions. I loved Laurence Anyways so f this one is better then I really can't wait to see this!
