A disgusting film for the makers own perversions I think. Factually inaccurate in many ways. The boy and other victim were emasculated when the penis was severed by the way to all the hack reviewers out there.. Castration is the removal of the testicles. The scene were the son shoots of the donor penis and then survives again is stupid. A gunshot to the groin will see you bleed out in minutes. Aside from this, what point does this really film serve apart from feeding the perversion and ego of a famously strange film maker. This film trivializes a real crime that happens several times a year in Asian countries where wives take to a husband, and jealous rivals take to hacking off another mans genitals out of jealousy. Sorry, but this revolting as to put a crime up as viewing pleasure is wrong.

"...the story is told entirely with dialogue. It's not exactly a silent film -- there's plenty of moaning and screaming -- but not a word of dialogue is exchanged..."

How does this kind of nonsense get published????

"if so, he might end up cooking up something genuinely worthy of the Golden Lion down the line"

they may not have won that particular award, but this is the director of such International greats as "Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter, and Spring" and "3-iron", y'know?
