This doesn\’t improve the acting, which is very amateurish in all of the group scènes but which gets much better when there are just two or three people onscreen. In some of the slave labour scenes, everybody was posed so carefully across the screen that I was afraid they were going to break into song with a choreographed musical number. Just so long as Fatih Akin has learned his lesson about what he is NOT good at doing, this film will have been useful for his future films.
