Realize this is the opinion of this reviewer, doesn\'t mean they are right.
I felt it was a very good movie.
I do think it could\'ve been better, in various ways.
But to call it a schlocky revenge thriller is fairly lame to say.
David Sep- I\'m gathering from your comment that you are commenting strictly from this review, without having seen the movie yourself, and making your own appraisal of the film.
That is even more lame.
It is most definitely not a \'cheesy\' genre film.
That has to be the dumbest comment (especially since you haven\'t even seen it).
Nonsense\'....not by a long shot.
What an ignorant comment.
What could have made it more,is showing his nightmares of his time at Aushwitz, which would become so much more important when we get the surprise ending.
But then, you haven\'t seen it, so you don\'t even know what the ending is.
Other that , this is surely more than a B-movie.
It is not a brilliant movie, which it could\'ve been, but it is definitely a good movie.

How sad…"a standard, and fairly schlocky revenge thriller" is not the kind of review that I ever expected Atom Egoyan to get…He used to be one of the world\'s best filmmakers, remember? How can he destroy his reputation now with one cheesy genre film after another ? I would prefer he does nothing at all over directing such nonsense. If he has no inspiration anymore, maybe he should do it like Bela Tarr: He simply stopped filmmaking and started a film school in Sarajevo. Because he felt he had nothing more to say. That\'s honest and admirable. What Atom Egoyan does is simply selling out. Does he need money so badly?
