Both Shame and Take This Waltz have already been screened for distributors and while both movies are apparently excellent, the strong sexuality scared off most interested suitors. (From what I hear)

It\’s definitely going to get slapped with an NC-17 if submitted to the ratings board. More likely, it will get picked up by IFC or a similar company and get released unrated.

It\’s not a bad review per se but it fixates on camera angles and beauty rather than the film\’s big topics. This is a common mistake. What does Shame say about life in Manhattan? Why the title? The writer touches on problems with the director\’s moralistic view of sexuality then veers away. Are you afraid to reveal too much about your personality and beliefs? It\’s hypocritical to criticize a film for doing exactly the same thing yourself.
