Did you really list Veronica Mars as if it\’s a non feminist show? Few female lead have been as strong and complex as her. Just because they poke fun out a group of over the top feminist characters in the last season, doesn\’t diminish the other things the show\’s done. And there\’s nothing wrong with writing blatant feminist characters that are awful people, much like there\’s nothing wrong with writing male rapist characters.

It\’s always odd when I read about some "triumph of feminisim" but then realize that women are increasingly losig the right to control their bodies via ever increasing restriction of Roe v. Wade. I guess the triumph is that in an alternate world of pop culture–TV, films, music, social media. etc.–women have full rights to control their bodies while it is denied in reality.
