I don't think either is a fit for the 'Carrie' character. I could see either of them in the roles of the mean girl or the reluctant particpant/good girl (can't remember the character names). Carrie should be more unusual looking. Pretty but vulnerable.

Moretz seems like a better fit just because she essentially played an outsider (or you know… a blood sucking vampire) in Let Me In. Interesting that Woodley passed. So, she'd rather finish up the the most awkward/horribly scripted/awful to sit through television series (really she's HORRIBLE in it, as is everyone involved) than work with a terrific director? Allllllllrighty.

So instead of going with a girl who is naturally like Carrie White they're going to take a Vogue attractive starlet and "ugly her up". Fuck that noise. Sissy Spacek had an odd appearance that helped make you buy her as a social pariah.

I honestly will struggle to buy Chloe Moretz did not go through high school pined after by every man she meets.

Courtney Love is a fantastic actress and could totally nail the role of Carrie's mother . She's a method actress and deserves a second chance in Hollywood. She is really fiery and can get possessed by her work. She became Althea in "Larry Flynt" and could definitely become Margaret White. I could see her winning an Oscar for this role.

I hope that either Chloe Moretz or Haley Bennett should passed or turned down for the role. Because i prefer to see Chloe to play a strong-woman role, instead playing a tortures psychopath. And for Haley Bennett isn't she too old to play Carrie, I agree with Jeff personally I Think Dakota Fanning should get a role of Carrie Because is what Jeff said she has the most Spacek-like vibe
