The ending is great, I'm happy with it. Call me a sucker, but I love a happy ending. And it's not like the happy ending is not deserved. Cage struggles with what he should do, and it is that struggle that leads to that ending. (I know that's not really clear, but I'm trying, not to spoil anything here).

I really liked this film. Action packed, funny, Tom Cruise on top form after the crap that was Oblivion, great chemistry with Emily Blunt who was hot. Only thing I did not like about it was the final scene – SPOILER ALERT – Don't read on if you have not seen the film.
That scene smacked too much of Cruise rewriting it to give his character a happy ending. Would have been better had they left it when everything blew up in Paris. Minor quibble though.

more like liman didn't approve of the FIVE different endings already written two months prior to shooting. TWO MONTHS. screenplays can be written in a week. no story here.
