Mendes hasn’t made a less than stellar film yet, and that includes the terribly underrated Jarhead. I’m sorry but that film is great. If you’re gonna talk about how good Deakins is, just watch some of the desert scenes in that. And the use of Tom Waits at the end…perfect.
