Typical sterotyping of a heavy metal band. It's the "one bad apple spoils the bunch" syndrome. The few metal bands who have been afflicted with drug problems, etc. have cast aspersions on Iron Maiden, Metallica, etc. Hell, some of Maiden's guitarists took their kids along for this tour. The kids were mannerly and very well-spoken when interviewed. Why can't people accept rock stars as human beings who lead normal lives like the rest of us? Just because their livelihood involves loud wonderful music that's not some mainstream crap; how does that give the higher than mighty's free reign to persecute them?

Get your head out of your ass. Iron Maiden rules!

Obviously you don’t like Maiden – no problems here, but your musical taste (or lack of) and your ignorance should not interfere with your professional journalistic duty. For your information, Flight 666 was released in 450 theatres in 42 countries. Depicted in this rock documentary is the first leg of the tour, which saw Maiden perform 23 concerts on five continents in 45 days. The whole tour saw Maiden play 92 concerts in 39 countries in front of 2 million fans – that’s more than 21,000 fans per concert – so yes someone, somewhere found this interesting. As you rightly pointed out, they had a customized Boeing 757 piloted by the lead singer – that’s far from stereotyped drug addicts, metal fans… The sad part is that it probably took me more time to write my comments than you took to write your crap.
