I'm not sure about his other films, like the most recent Oblivion, but the Mission Impossible series have been blockbuster hits that will mark history books of film. It essentially rebirthed the original MI following and allows it to become signature for years to come, like passing the James Bond torch, when Cruise gets older. It would be cool if they continued the series with the Science channel's cute look alike, Brendan dunphy or maybe the guy from the hangover movies if he can handle action roles.
