Someone\’s bitter they\’re not part of the Critics Circle. And the NYFCC IS the first major critics group to announce best of the year wins. NBR is not a critics group.

Of course, Walt. A vampire romance and a Snow White movie did well because of the male leads, not the characters that the intended audience could relate, too. It\’s hilarious to me that when her movies do extraordinarily well, it\’s always because of someone else. Chris Hemsworth\’s movies don\’t do blockbuster money away from his superhero movies either. Robert Pattinson\’s indies don\’t do blockbuster money. But, Kristen is held to this different standard. Why? It\’s nonsensical thinking.

Actually, Walt, "box-office poison" isn\’t really a term that applies to audiences — it applies to how studios view an actor or actress who isn\’t seen as a moneymaker. it has nothing to do with art or craft or the kind of brilliant performance Kristen Stewart gave in "Clouds of Sils Maria," but I\’m sure you don\’t care about that because you\’re more concerned with money, and don\’t care about movies. No award for documentary? And what\’s up with \’Timbuktu\’ for this year\’s foreign language film category? Surprised at Kristen Stewart\’s win — I thought she was quite good in that film actually. I have yet to see \’Brooklyn\’ and I am already excited. The reviews I read suggest that it has a cerebral punch in its emotionalism (I kinda like that combo). Odd not to see either Rooney or Blanchett winning plaudits for their performances in \’Carol\’. Interesting set of winners to complement and compare to the National Board of Review\’s choices, and other film critics groups. How much of critics\’ darlings translate to people\’s choice?

Just read the write up to see the full winners list and saw Walt\’s comment. Wow! Butt Hurt much and guessing your actual name is either real_pr_pro or anninfannie. Whatever lady! Congrats to Kristen. Watched Clouds of Sils Maria and what a movie. Never seen 2 actresses talk and be that natural. You deserve to go all the way and praying it happens for you this season. Wish Oliver A was also up for best original screenplay because it\’s that good. Looking forward to your new film together. Personal shopper.

Pointing out that the only Stewart films that ever made any money were carried by Robert Pattinson and Chris Hemsworth doesn\’t help your case, Amy. Both before and after the Twilight franchise her indies bombed. From Welcome to the Rileys and The Runaways to CXR and Sils Maria, they\’ve all flopped. She never has been able to attract an audience on her own, only when she was in a fantasy franchise, surrounded by actors that audiences wanted to see did the films make any money.

I\’m laughing at Walt, too. Kristen Stewart\’s movies have made more than $4 billion dollars at the box office. You can claim she\’s "poison" because some Indies she made didn\’t become blockbusters…again. Yet, you don\’t seem too bright when you do. Congrats to all of the winners.

So happy for Kristen, did not see that coming. Can\’t wait to see what excuses her detractors come up with for her winning. Surprised Timbuktu won best foreign film seeing as it was nominated at the Oscars back in January.
