But with Illumination on their side (responsible for the upcoming Despicable Me), they may have a chance to turn things around. *crosses fingers*&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As for this project, I have my doubts. I&#039;m a HUGE fan of the original Addams strips. I own them all. Maybe in his younger days, Burton would&#039;ve pushed for the wit that&#039;s needed for this, but now I think he&#039;s been wooed too much by licensing and films accessible to all ages for the bigger buck. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I don&#039;t think he&#039;ll push for an Addams film that will be more for adults than children because that would &#034;mislead the audience&#034; as a studio might say. Remember, he was practically kicked out of Disney for Frankenweenie because it was deemed to scary for families. Back then, he would&#039;ve been great for this project. Now I have my doubts.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;He needs to get back to writing his own material. I&#039;m dying for something fresh like Scisshorhands was when it came out.]]></description>
