I expected to see some improvements in my love life after I contacted Ekaka and asked him to send out a spell to the Universe for me, but I didnât expect a life-changing experience, thatâs for sure! Still, though, thatâs what I got! Iâm not only in love, Iâm going to be moving to my soon-to-be-fianceâs state next month! Sad to see that using trans people to play trans roles was just a fluke, unique to OITNB. Also, transvestite is defunct term for a hetrosexual man that engages in crossdressing for sexual fulfillment.

I'm getting the opposite impression of people's reaction to this film ..
Sounds like the film has turned those 'Oscar-bait triggers' upside down and delivered.

Given all the obvious Oscar-bait triggers–an AIDS drama, a flamboyant female impersonator character, McC's weight loss, etc.–the few reviews have been surprisingly measured, even muted, in their enthusiasm for this. Sounds like something I will definitely catch on HBO, but probably not in a theater.

How are you writing this review when it hasn't played yet at TIFF. The premier is tonight and there is only one other showing tomorrow morning. I'm a TIFF member and there were no other showings.
