i have been reading a lot of the reviews coming in via the playlist, specifically from kevin. so far it seems you haven't really liked a single film you've seen. unless i've missed a review over the past couple of days. if that is the case can you steer me towards a film that you've personally enjoyed from the festival. if not do you think that this is a poor year for TIFF or are you (without sounding too critical of your judgements) coming off a bit too harsh for some reason?

Hi OOJO aka as one of the producers of the film,
do you really think it's necessary to comment on every review people write about your insignificant film? I also was at the screening at the Elgin and saw the crowds reaction, it was polite and well behaved but certainly not engaged.The movie is average at it's best, but why waste such talent on a film that will come and go ?

This is such a gratuitously negative take on what is actually a grown-up and intelligent crowd pleaser. You probably aren't the audience for a movie like this (which cleverly explore growing old and long term relationships, all within the incredibly opaque context of classical music) and yet, you are also given a pen to dictate what people should watch or not…
Yes, the performances are amazing. But it's not just about this: it's the quality of the dialogs, the intelligence of psycology behind them, the humour that made the whole of the Elgin theatre burst into laughter at times and tear towards the end. And not in a melodramatic way but with restrain and depth. The fact that you dont care for it is one thing, the fact that you judge it so harshly is irrelevant
