I wasn't sure what I was going into until I saw who the director was. His previous film, After Life,was similar in its themes of the essence of humanity and our need for fulfillment. Bae Doona gave a fantastic performance, conveying her sense of wonder and childlike imitations. It's almost heartbreaking to see the moment of clarity in her eyes when, like all of us at some point in life, innocence is unrecoverably lost.
