I thought there was a mumblecore-ish vibe to the first half. And I thought it was fun.

I like the fact that it doesn\’t try to balance the funny with the scary, and works as a funny movie that goes full scary on it\’s final act.

Definitely not West\’s best, but a good effort nonetheless, imho.

@Sean, that\’s exactly why it\’s a bad thing. Our review from SXSW called it like Scooby Doo, which is being a bit generous.

Not sure if that\’s a good thing. I like Ti West films, but anything mumblecore is usually terrible.
