If you look at "hit" movies or "hit" albums, they're all things people who don't download would go see or buy. That's how Susan Boyle gets a number 1 record, and it takes a zeitgeisty blockbuster like The Dark Knight or Avatar to really make money.

I know blaming piracy publicly is a way to cover up the fact that your movie sucks and your campaign was shitty, but it also attracts more people to downloading.
