You forgot Wrath of the Titans. I never saw the first one but the trailer for the new one looked kinda fun. Same with GI Joe 2 and Ghost Rider 2 and Expendables 2. Could this be the year that sequels are actually better than the originals?

Regarding Snow White and the Huntsman-- K.
even if the filmmaker is a dunderhead like Michael Bay
-----------------------

Yet again, the Playlist is taking shots at Bay. And I though I was a huge Michael Bay fan?

It's cool, you art-house geeks..... it's cool for you to finally admit that you love the Michael Bay films. Just do it already and stop playing around like little kids. Judging by his worldwide success, that made him one of the most powerful and famous filmmakers on the planet, I'd say you'll be joining an enormous group of Bay-fans. So yeah, don't pretend anymore.

The fact that you bring Bay's name in pretty much every freakin wannabe-article you make, speaks for itself. Yes, you do act like uneducated teens who have the nerve to insult filmmakers personally (it'll come back to bite you big time, so if I were you I'd take it easy), but to a degree you're actually funny. As a joke blog, you're great. Just don't try to be something more.

Seriously now, I know you're angry as hell that Bay is so successful and has a huge fanbase, but come on, don't get all butthurt because of that. Just accept that reality, accept the facts, and don't try to act smart with these cheap childish insults========it shows that you're too desperate. I've noticed that you're always ready to quote critical reviews from people who never really liked Bay's films, but you carefully ignore the results coming from CinemaScore: results that clearly show, without a doubt, that the audiences all over the world simply LOVE his movies. Why don't you post these facts, huh?

Of course you're not going to post them. And that's because you love to play the part of the ignorant "my-opinion-is-a-fact" angry haters who're too close-minded to accept the facts. Oh, and in the end let me remind you that Bay's last movie now stands as one of the most successful films of all time. Which means that you'll see more and more and more and more from Bay in the years ahead. Hell, the man is just getting started. He'll make his movies, he'll please his audience and you'll keep spreading poison on the web. The good news for us, the fans, is that the internet is not the real world. It's just a small village of angry geeks and nerds, who will never say these things out in the real world, because they'll get their butts kicked. In other words, your hateful wannabe-articles can't change squat.

Oh and yes, if you're not aware of it by now, I am a huge Michael Bay fan. Been a Michael Bay fan for more than 11 years.

And I'll keep supporting the man and his films.

P.S. As for your list...........not bad, for art-house lovers.

You complainers (and Circusfolk of course) also gotta note, part of the reason we're delineating between "types" of films? Because it's just all easier to digest. Do you wanna read about 200 films in one piece? We don't. We're doing a Foreign Films list and a Indie films list as well, we're not trying to place people in their ghetto, we're just trying to break these pieces up. When all is said and done we'll be up to 100 films, so yeah, part of this segregation is just for practical purposes. So chill. :)

Kind of surprised we're getting flack for "The Dark Knight Rises." Even if you hate it, there's an immediately apparent difference between Nolan's trilogy and every other schlock comic book movie. Maybe what he's doing doesn't resonate with you, but there's definitely something there, as opposed to the majority of the others which are generally just entertainment without substance.

My break down. Safe House, John Carter, and Warm Bodies will flop hard. Taylor Kitsch is the new Ryan Reynolds, in that the suits will fail to sell him as the next box office champion. Skyfall, Spiderman, and Gambit will do peanuts domestically but make it up in international receipts. Lincoln vamp has the box office curse that is Mary Elizabeth Winstead. 21 Jump Street will fail harder than The Sitter. Hunger Games will overperform. Snow White is tricky but my gut says it will be big.
