Cake didn\’t even register until Aniston paid millions for a shameful and obscene Oscar nomination campaign. The only person talking about that movie and promoting it has been her. No one else. When a film and a performance have rave reviews all around and full support, everybody shows up.

I think Bradley Cooper is going to make it into best actor category, probably at the expense of Oyelowo or Gyllenhaal. American Sniper got out there too late for a lot of the precursors, but people have been buzzing these last two weeks. And it was monumentally stupid for Foxcatcher to submit Steve Carell as lead. Such a shame.

Hmm a few "I hope" choices here, I don\’t see Dan Gilroy getting in for Best Director not because it isn\’t great but because I feel Tyldum and/or Marsh will be there. I\’d prefer Marsh over Tyldum but in a perfect world, yes Bennett Miller should absolutely be there. Foxcatcher is so great.

Pretty sure they\’ll throw GONE GIRL into most of the top categories. The Oscars is still a shameless TV show designed to sell shit & as much as I love some of the definite nominees there isn\’t a real blockbuster amongst the nominees. They\’ll toss in GONE GIRL so there\’s at least one movie up for the lead nominations that Joe & Jane Middle America has heard of or seen.
