Not a sentimental or glamourous version but one that explores her dramatic struggle from destitution as an ugly shy duckling to a sucessful but tragic film star adored by millions.

She\’s the lead, and his latest film seems to have his most mainstream cast yet. Early reviews have stated that she\’s utterly incredible, and Magnolia Pictures have picked it up for US distribution later this year. Magnolia may not be the best around, but they could definitely put it into perspective by the time awards season come around.

Here\’s my reasoning for her going supporting:
Cronenberg has cited her (and Fassbender) as the leads of ADM in an interview.
She is the catalyst for both Freud and Jung
She has her own subplot about psychoanalysis
There is a love story between her and Fassbender\’s character

Obviously a lot will depend on screen time, but she\’s looking to go lead, imo.

With such a packed year, I don\’t think Theron\’s role will be strong enough to garner a nomination. And the movie sounds really trashy.
