Don't get me wrong though, The Machinist was a good film (beyond Bale's performance/shapeshifting) but still a bit overpraised back then. Anderson's episode of Fear itself was kinda good too but nothing more. On the other hand Poe seems to be the kind of material he can work with according to these previous works (paranoia, troubled past, weird dreams and hallucinations etc.)… interesting really.
