Hard to imagine the guy who lensed No Country For Old Men and The Assassination of Jesse James in the same year still doesn\&#039;t have an Academy Award.]]></description>

					<description><![CDATA[BLUE VALENTINE is a terrific film, but it would never, ever get a nod for its cinematography. Not in a million years. I saw it on the big screen... and 15% of the film had sloppy focus. Incredibly distracting. It was like the focus puller had no experience whatsoever.

THE KING\&#039;S SPEECH doesn\&#039;t really deserve this nomination either, as the super-wide lensing was distracting. The entire film was shot on 2, maybe 3 lenses. Bizarre framing of close-ups was interesting, I guess.]]></description>
