Mookie trashes Sal's window because Radio Raheem is murdered. RR being the external conscience of Mookie, going good or bad, but killed only because of his self-representation being too loud, and unignorable, though felt as though people would prefer to ignore him. Sal, disqualifies the merits of Afro-Americans by denying any one of them a spot on his wall, thus denying Mookie, the common black man, a truely defined place in his pizzeria. No matter how much Sal's money permits him to magnaminously call Mookie, the financial struggler, as a son. The window breakage is the end of patronism and condescension.
