Very surprised by Edge of Tomorrow's opening weekend numbers.

I suspect it's numbers will improve through word of mouth as it's an excellent film.

I haven't seen "The Fault in our stars" and I'm planning to see it but anyone who has seen "Edge of tomorrow" knows it deserved a much bigger audience than the one it had by now. I saw it this weekend and literally loved it! It's one of the best, smartest and most wildly original sci-fi action flicks I've seen in a while. Plus, it feautures one of the most badass female roles in quite a long time, in the beautiful face of the extremely talented Emily Blunt as Rita Vrataski. It's a terrific film and I hope it holds well at the box office over the next weeks.

Seriously, when I was a kid in the 70's my mom used to watch "Edge of Tommorow" every afternoon while she did the dishes.

Please please please, do bring back the funny names for the titles. At least in the weekly box office reports. I know now that you have to serve your evil mighty dark lords, you had to get rid of your spine and write studio-friendly reviews and reports. Such things may buy you a front row, sorry, a second row seat at the Cannes Film Festival, but never forget where you started from. A blogpost.

The person who wrote this article show some serious bias towards Falut in our Stars. Its "slightly" lower than expected numbers is around 7 million less then it was suppoused to make due to a 51.6% drop on saturday. This indicates major frontloading and lessens its potential for now. I expect something like this from eonline not indiewire. Step it up.
