Marvel really knows how to put together a cast, huh? Even if the studio had a rough 2023 and people are complaining about “superhero fatigue,” Kevin Feige is still able to convince some great actors to put on some tights for a film. And the latest proof is with “The Fantastic Four.”
According to Deadline, Natasha Lyonne is the latest actor to join “The Fantastic Four.” Seriously, think about this cast. You have Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as the title crew. Then you have Julia Garner, Paul Walter-Hauser, John Malkovich, and Ralph Ineson all in supporting roles. And now, Lyonne. That’s a murderer’s row of acting talent, for sure. As you might expect, there’s no details about Lyonne’s casting. She could be an established Marvel hero or just the quippy friend (you know Marvel loves to add those to these things).
“The Fantastic Four” is seemingly set in the ‘60s and tells the story of Marvel’s First Family, a group of four scientists/explorers who gain incredible powers and use them to save the world (and sometimes the universe). We still don’t know what the film will be about, though with Garner and Ineson playing Silver Surfer and Galactus, respectively, we can assume it’ll be about the Devourer of Worlds coming to Earth to eat it. Or something along those lines.
One of the only other things we know about the film is the release date. “The Fantastic Four” is expected to arrive in theaters on July 25, 2025.
