That scene in Tarantino\’s movie is more or less the point of the whole film — the fantasy based terror that racist white men have of black men is being used against Bruce Deen – and us. To minimize it for the audience\’s comfort is to kill the meaning of the whole film.

Seems to me the reviewers of this blog have difficulty with discerning irony, especially in a film full of it like Youth. It doesn\’t really surprise me much given the pedestrian reviews and juvenile best of lists.
