Hugo for the BP win. I called that nealry two years ago when Scorsese signed on. It's perfect Oscar material! Also Chastain must win supporting actress, personally i'd like to see it for TOL, but i think it will more likely be The Help. Either way, if she doesn't, its a dravesty!

Was the response to the NYFF screening really lukewarm? I wasn't really following the film or its reception, but the few reviews I did see after that screening were glowing.

Hey Oliver, you might want to go back and do a little fact-checking. The NBR's Best Actress Prize was between Tilda and Charlize Theron. Yes, it ultimately went to Swinton but to say that Theron was the only other actress people were betting on is a HUGE notice. Talk to your people and I'm sure you will hear the same. So, Close is falling off the radar really fast and Mara DOES NOT HAVE A CHANCE IN HELL of being nominated. She's good in the film is what I'm hearing but nothing that's revelatory. Plus, she's kind of a bitch in real life.
