Oh, come on, listing Angeline Jolie as a potential for a director nod in a discussion on diversity is really weak. Her movie simply wasn\'t good enough to make any kind of argument for a nomination - a charge that could frankly be levelled against Selma (although to be fair I\'d level it against the Brit bios too).

Oh come on. Desplat didn\'t desrve the Oscar over Zimmer. Interstellar had the best score of the year, hands down. And even if Desplat was to win, it should\'ve been for The Imitation Game. The Grand Budapest Hotel was just a bunch of bouncy ethic sounding music with no real theme. But seriously, Zimmer has delivered three of the best scores of the last decade in Dark Knight, Inception and Insterdtellar and hasn\'t won for any of them. And maybe it\'s because people see him as an Oscar winner already but I don\'t think they realize his one and only win came from 1995 for The Lion King! Hardly the film I\'m sure he wants his only Oscar to be for.
