Great movie but Zodiac is far superior. I watch that once every few years. I’ve seen Memories of Murder once and that’s enough…it reminded me of The Pledge is some ways. Anybody see the unrated extended edition of The Counselor? The theatrical cut probably deserved the bashing it received, but the longer cut released on blu-ray is some kind of flawed masterpiece, and might have made this list if I’d had any say. I might have also suggested The Snowtown Murders – brilliantly restrained yet still utterly devastating – as well as the “honorable mentions” Sin Nombre and Way of the Gun.
