I completely disagree with this article…The fact that the movie industry does not put the arbitrary films you normally see with a happy ending on the big screen. It is a moral lesson with which we are to take away from this the deeper, dark , bleak is actually a tool to show the world a different way to transcend

Small point: in Reiner's discussion of his ex and the athlete you mention him as a hockey player for the Edmonton Oilers. Reiner says "Oilers." But I believe he is referring to the now defunct football Houston Oilers. They are in Texas after all, no?

I saw the film in Mexico and the exchange between Pitt and Fassbender that ends with "But letâs see if we can guess who it is that they really want to kill" was still there. Is there a different cut of the film for international territories?

I loved this movie. I think it got seriously unfairly shit on by viewers because it's different than the rest but as this article says its straight up Cormac McCarthy for better or worse. It's disjointed and weird as hell but I loved all of it, feel like it will go down as some kinda cult film and people will slowly start to appreciate it.

I could be wrong, but I think the shot of the cheetahs inspecting Reiner's body, and Westray's line about "keeping up apppareances" actually are in the finished film.

Even though I didn't like the film, I can pick out a few favorite quotes, most of which come from Westray. The one I like the best is "they don't believe in coincidences which is to say they've heard of them, they've just never seen one. "

The first scene with Westray does end with:
