Kill Team is one of the best of the year, Merchants of Doubt was a contender, but America is strawman propaganda? What specific claims in America qualify as strawman propaganda? It would be more honest if you simply wrote, "polemics that I agree with are not propaganda; anything I disagree with is propaganda."

Some docs that have yet to get distribution that you missed: A CHAIR FIT FOR AN ANGEL (Raymond St. Jean\’s film about the Shakers and their culture), THE ORACLES OF PENNSYLVANIA AVENUE (Tim Wilkerson\’s piece about the longest running continual protest in US history), LIMO RIDE (a raucous doc about the worst night of partying ever), SUNSHINE SUPERMAN (Maura Strauch\’s piece about the inventor of base jumping), IRIS (the great Albert Maysles\’ profile of fashion maven Iris Apfel), and you forgot to mention Robert May\’s KIDS FOR CASH and Stephanie Soechtig\’s FED UP as well. Otherwise, pretty great list of movies!

A rock documentary that broke every convention was Every Everything, the music, life and times of Grant Hart. It was one of the greatest music films I\’ve ever seen. Heart-breaking and real. Not an ego trip. As good, if not better, than 20,000 Days On Earth.
